Nature Walk
Call and reserve a spot for our first nature walk of the season. We will explore winter on the creek. Our targets include waterfowl, eagles, woodpeckers, turkeys, and other wildlife.
Invasive Removal
We continue our efforts to remove and control the invasive species on the Preserve. Some of these plants have natural defenses so please wear long sleeves and long-legged pants. As the temperatures warm up the insect activities increase. Be prepared with whatever methods you use for outdoor work. Gloves, tools, and water will be available.
Nature Walk
Reserve a spot to join us in a saunter to the creek. We will be identifying birds, trees, shrubs, vines, flowers, insects, and whatever else pauses long enough. Bring cameras, binoculars, and bug spray.
Invasive Removal
Our last group effort of the year will focus on Japanese stilt-grass. This is easily to uproot but be ready for invertebrate pests. Gloves, tools, and water will be available.
Nature Walk
Bring your cameras and enjoy the colors. Our mix of deciduous and conifers makes autumn a special time to visit the Preserve. We will be looking for woodpeckers and early fall migrants like the golden-crowned kinglet.
Invasive Removal
We continue our efforts to remove and control the invasive species on the Preserve. Wine berry is early to emerge. This one has thorns so please wear long sleeves and long-legged pants. Gloves, tools, and water will be available
