Science Advisory Group

The purpose of the Cove Point Science Advisory Group is to provide recommendations to the Cove Point Natural Heritage Trust that will allow for the Board to make the best possible decisions on land acquisitions, stewardship, and educational activities related to lands of interest to the Trust. To meet the long-term management goal of maintaining natural communities at the Cove Point natural resources area, the Science Advisory Group will make recommendations for projects to identify, monitor, and restore the natural processes. Within this context, emphasis will be given to those management strategies which optimize research opportunities and ecological values.
